Behavior / Personality / Adaptation
AI-Driven NPCs & Digital Companions
01 / The experience
Behavior needs a body.
An intelligent character is only convincing when its actions are readable. A pause before replying, a change in attention or the way a companion approaches the player can make a system feel like a personality.
Adaptive emotional signals
Contextual interaction
Autonomous navigation
Emergent variation
02 / The craft
How we make it.
We build modular expressions, gestures and reactions around the behaviors a game can actually trigger. Animation sets are planned for variation and interruption, so a character can respond to context without snapping between disconnected performances.
This is the performance layer for adaptive characters: assets and animation structures that can be connected to a game’s own behavior logic. The AI system itself is defined by the project.
03 / The process
From brief to play.
Each stage answers a specific need of this application.
Map the behavior
Define the situations, priorities and emotional signals the character must show.
Design the reactions
Create gestures, expressions and motion families with useful variation.
Build for branching
Prepare transitions and reusable clips for changing states.
Validate in context
Test whether players can read the intended response during play.
