Character detail, built for VR.
Caliverse asked for digital people who could hold up visually inside an immersive environment. Mimic Productions developed detailed character models and textures, including clothing and accessories, then prepared those assets for real-time use in the VR experience.
The case study describes rigging and corrective setups to make character movement feel grounded. Cloth simulation added motion to bags and straps. Shading and look development addressed the way virtual lighting meets different surfaces, while Unreal Engine integration and VR optimisation balanced visual detail against the performance limits of a headset.
The result was an end-to-end character-production contribution for Caliverse: modelling, texturing, rigging, simulation and integration. It shows how the same character craft used in games extends into interactive VR worlds.
