Tennis World Tour

More than 20 athletes brought into the game as digital characters.

01 / The project

Tennis World Tour

Tennis World Tour called for a roster of recognisable digital athletes. We scanned, modelled and textured more than 20 characters for the game, carrying their likeness from physical reference into the finished character work.

Mimic Productions’ games portfolio and 3D modelling showcase identify Tennis World Tour as a character-production project with a published count of more than 20 characters.

A full roster, built character by character.

Tennis World Tour is the clearest published example of the scale of our game-character production. The credit covers scanning, modelling and texturing more than 20 characters. Each stage has a distinct job: capture reference, build the digital form and give its surfaces the detail needed on screen.

Mimic Productions’ game-modelling practice is built around characters that move from detailed source material into real-time use. Its published material discusses topology, UVs and textures as important parts of game-ready modelling. On Tennis World Tour, the three documented production stages carried that roster from scan to finished digital character.

What we made.

01

The roster

More than 20 characters were created through scanning, modelling and texturing—an unusually concrete scale of work within the published game credits.

02

The pipeline

The documented stages connect physical reference to finished digital characters: capture the subject, build the model and define its surface detail.
